ARE PROGRESSIVES COMMUNISTS
OR
ARE COMMUNISTS PROGRESSIVES?

Communist Party USA Tells Us They Are "Progressives."
"Progressives" won't admit they are Communists - But they ARE!

Does anyone remember a few years back when there was a Presidential Election there was always a name of a person from the Communist Part running for President? The person would always pick up a couple percentage points of votes but was never considered a serious candidate. Has anyone noticed that you don't see Communist candidates running for President of the USA anymore?

Did they quit running because they don't want to be president anymore? The answer is; "NO." And the truth is they are still running but not under the name of the Communist Party.

According to WIKIPEDIA - The free encyclopedia:
"Progressivism is a political attitude favoring or advocating changes or reform through governmental action. Progressivism is often viewed in opposition to conservative or reactionary ideologies. In the United States, the term progressivism emerged in the late 19th century into the 20th century in reference to a more general response to the vast changes brought by industrialization: an alternative to both the traditional conservative response to social and economic issues and to the various more radical streams of socialism and anarchism which opposed them. Political parties, such as the Progressive Party, organized at the start of the 20th century, and progressivism made great strides under American presidents Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Lyndon Baines Johnson. Today, most progressive politicians in the United States associate with the Democratic Party or the Green Party of the United States. In the US Congress there exists the Congressional Progressive Caucus, which is often in opposition to the more conservative Democrats, who form the Blue Dogs caucus. Some of the more notable progressive members of Congress have included Ted Kennedy, Russ Feingold, Dennis Kucinich, Barney Frank, Alan Grayson, Bernie Sanders, Al Franken, John Conyers, John Lewis, Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, and Paul Wellstone.."  Let me say here that the Republican Party also has a large number of Progressives

Have you heard of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA).Their motto is "Radical Ideas. Real Politics."On the home page of the CPUSA web site they proudly offer a taste of their history - where they tell us "The Communist Party has an unparalleled history in the progressive movement of the United States . . . ." Did you see that? American Communists admitting a connection between Progressives and Communists? Can you believe that? Here is their home page:  http://www.cpusa.org/

There has been a lot written and spoken about how American progressives are extreme left leaning folks. But did you know that the progressives themselves deny any kinship to Communism, and how they pitch a fit and slander anyone who says otherwise. But the CPUSA themselves tell us they are Progressives.

Progressives talk, act and legislate in a Marxist (Communist)-like manner and then get all indignant when anyone says "seems like a Commie to me." If it walks like a Commie, talks like a Commie and acts like a Commie, then it must be a Commie. If one tells me I thinking and act like a Conservative, it makes me proud, but if we say they are Communists, they go ballistic. That means either they are ignorant and unaware their ideology is full blown Communist, or they are they are not honest. I wonder, no not really.

Let's examine some of the points in the program of the CPUSA and then you tell me these two ideologies - Progressivism and Communism - are not two peas in a pod. Here is the link to their "constitution." http://www.cpusa.org/cpusa-constitution/

Read, if you can without throwing up, the preamble. What does the Communist Party stand for? The best part of the answer is: "We believe that the American people can replace capitalism with a system that puts people before profit - Socialism."

Oh, and then there's the last paragraph of the section that informs us: "Until we win enough support to change the system, communists call for radical reforms under capitalism. We call for nationalization of the banks, railroads, and industries like steel and auto. Everyone who wants to work should be guaranteed a job or get unemployment payments until she/he can find a job. We say put the unemployed to work at union wages on massive public works programs to rebuild our cities, provide affordable housing for the homeless, build mass transit, and clean up the environment! Our outlook is based on the social science of Marxism-Leninism. We study history, politics and economics in order to change the world." WOW! That's Change we can believe in!

Did you catch that? Based on Marx and Lenin and striving for a socialist state? Nationalizing banks . . . auto companies, etc. Any of this sound familiar?

As disturbing as the CPUSA ideology is, they are clever too. In their FAQ's section, the very first question listed is "What are the CPUSA views on the environment?" Have you ever heard of how they did and do things in the old USSR, China, etc? Their endeavor to feature environmentalism as number one is an effort to get the half-wit "Greenie" to jump on board.

So, how does this sit with the incessant denials of progressives that, "No, we are not socialists?" In fact, don't progressives call anyone names who claims they favor socialism? They call into question the intelligence, reason and political maturity of anyone who maintains Progressives are just socialists, and Communists.

Clearly the CPUSA thinks they are these things and the CPUSA tells us in their opening statement "The Communist Party has an unparalleled history in the progressive movement of the United States . . . ." Yeah, so reconcile that one.

Go to their website and read some more FAQ's like "What is Marxism? How can I learn more?" Read how this section extols "Marxist ideas have been elaborated and modernized."

There was and may still be a passage where the CPUSA discusses their upcoming party convention and how "This is a time of transition and renewal. The election of President Barack Obama and ending Republican majority rule in the House and Senate has opened many padlocked doors. The long nightmare of right-wing misrule could be coming to an end. Our nation's political landscape is changing. T he possibilities for transformative, progressive changes are enormous."

The direct link for this passage is: http://www.cpusa.org/cpusa-convention-a-call-for-united-action/

Read their proud list of good deeds (in their eyes) under "What has the Communist Party accomplished?" They inform us they "helped organize the great industrial unions including steel, meat packing and auto." And don't progressives sound like Communists when they maintain, as does the CPUSA "Capitalism is a global system of exploitation and oppression."

The CPUSA poses the rhetorical question "Is the Communist Party USA part of an international movement?" To which the CPUSA replies "We believe that . . . those oppressed by capitalism in any form are natural allies." And they close the FAQ with the statement "We work in solidarity with all movements around the world that struggle for independence, peace and economic and social justice." Wow! Economic and social justice, Huh? Where have I heard that before?

The CPUSA is squarely behind Obama in their pleasure with his State of the Union speech with their headline "Obama State of the Union: He got the ball rolling." They go on to extol the virtues of much of the Obama agenda. No, no connection between progressives and Communism, Right?

Does any of this sound good for traditional Americans, families and economy? Good for our nation? Adhering in anyway to the Founding principles? If you answer "yes" you have some real problems with factual history, but no news there, right?

I'll leave you with this thought: Sam Webb, national chair of the CPUSA tells us they are aligned with the Obama agenda and in rooting for the Obama agenda, he says "Don't think we will succeed if the Obama presidency fails. If it fails, we will once again be fighting an uphill, defensive struggle as we were in the Bush and Reagan years, or worse."

One of the central themes for the American progressive movement? How many times have we heard this mantra in the last few years? And those are the EXACT SAME WORDS used by the CPUSA?

No, no relativity or correlation here. No commonality of desire or agenda. No clear and undeniable examples of American progressives and the CPUSA having nearly identical goals and the same manners of reaching their common goals. Really? Yes, my friends Progressives are Communists.

The hammer and sickle is a symbol of the communist movement. The hammer stands for the industrial working class while the sickle represents the agricultural workers; together the hammer and sickle represents the unity of these two groups.  It is also speculated that the hammer represents power, while the sickle represents efficiency: "Power and Efficiency."

The hammer and sickle was first used during the Russian Revolution but it did not become the official symbol of the Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic until 1924. Since the Russian Revolution, the hammer and sickle has come to represent various communist parties and socialist states.
