NEW BIBLE VERSIONS SAY THE
GOSPEL IS FOOLISH
We MUST be careful of our WORDS... Have you read 1Corinthians 1:21 lately? I
mean it reads different in the King James than it does in all the other
translations. First the King James: "For
after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God
by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."
Now look at it in the new translations: "For since, in God's wisdom, the world did not know God through wisdom, God was pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of the message preached."
That particular verse is from the Holman Christian Standard Bible, and reads the same in MOST other "modern' versions." I put it in Opossum Puke Green because it stinks....Anyone who can read a bible like that and think it is OK doesn't give much thought to what it is saying, for that verse (Holman Vresion) says that God calls the GOSPEL foolish! Yes it does!
Diagram the sentence, it is God's point of view here, not man's. I am aware of the verses that say MAN calls the Gospel foolishness, this IS NOT one of them!!! Some people will say that other passages in the perverted bibles will make it clear that God is not really calling the Gospel foolish.
Here is truth, things that are different are not the same. So, if that is true, and ANY 5 or 6 year old knows that that statement is true, then things that are the same are NOT different. The modern versions say they make the Bible easy to read. But if the same bibles say DIFFERENT things, then it is NOT the same. It is also a blatant lie to say that the various versions really say the same thing as the King James Bible.
EXAMPLES from the text under discussion...
1Corinthians 1:21 "For after
that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by
the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."
(King James Bible)
1Corinthians 1:21 "For since, in God's wisdom, the world did not know God through wisdom, God was pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of the message preached." Holman Christian Standard Bible
1Corinthians 1:21 "For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe." New International Version which is published by Rupert Murdock
1Corinthians 1:21 "For
since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know
God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to
save those who believe." New
American Standard Bible
1 Corinthians 1:21 "For since,
in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God
through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who
believe." New King
James Version
1Corinthians 1:21 "For when the world with all its earthly wisdom failed to perceive and recognize and know God by means of its own philosophy, God in His wisdom was pleased through the foolishness of preaching [salvation, procured by Christ and to be had through Him], to save those who believed (who clung to and trusted in and relied on Him." Amplified Bible
The foolish gospel bibles are in Opossum Puke Green. Diagram the sentence, you see that this verse is GOD'S POINT OF VIEW, not man's.
In the KJB "the foolishness of preaching" is GOD'S point of view of the METHOD HE has chosen for people to be saved! It is not the thing (Gospel) preached. It is the foolishness of the act of preaching.
The "foolishness of the message preached." in the HCSB and other versions, is a HERESY of GOD'S point of view of the MESSAGE, NOT the method!
It is GOD calling the Gospel 'FOOLISHNESS'! NO THAT COULD NEVER HAPPEN!
Has not the defender of the modern translations who gave little thought to what he is reading, BLASPHEMED GOD by proclaiming a lie? He thinks he is quoting the bible, the Truth, quoting God himself. But he has made God blaspheme his own Word.
And IF a person holds forth that modern PERversion as authored by the HOLY SPIRIT of God, has he not also BLASPHEMED the Holy Spirit? God is NOT the author of confusion, and the HOLY SPIRIT has NOT inspired lies,
John 17:17 "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." (King James) In the service of the TRUTH, the LIVING WORD, JESUS CHRIST,
The words "foolishness of the message preached." in the HCSB and other modern versions, is a HERESY and a lie.
2Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
Let me make something very clear. Preaching is
an exercise of a spiritual gift given to fallen men who have been redeemed.
Preaching is a HUMAN event. The Gospel is the everlasting message. It is the
preaching METHOD that is considered foolish, not the MESSAGE.
Let me make something else very clear. Now that you have seen that the NIV and
all the rest of the PERversions above, except the KJV, have God saying that the
Gospel is foolish, you are stuck. I am delighted that some of you have gotten
this far, for you will now decide if you are going to heaven or hell. You
see, your god has a foolish gospel. Don't tell me you can have a bible which has
a foolish gospel, while the rest of your perverted bible is good stuff. Condemn
your foolish gospel bible with the thousands yes, I said thousands of other
foolish mistakes.
Romans 1:16 (KJV) "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
Galatians 1:7 (KJV) "Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ."
Ephesians 1:12 (KJV) "That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,"
"....the word of truth, the gospel
of your salvation" -- Is the
truth foolish also?
If the Gospel in your Bible is foolish then it cannot get you to Heaven. I would not want to spend eternity with anyone who wandered around heaven forever jabbering about how foolish the Gospel is. I suppose you will stand before the throne of God one day and say, "Father, I praise you that I am saved by your foolish Gospel and your foolish Son, Jesus Christ."
I am just a little bit sick and tired of listening to people who go on the internet and find a website that condemns the King James Bible and promotes these PERversions. You need to get a deep conviction about the holiness of the Word of God, and use only the Bible that does not call the Gospel foolish -- The King James Bible.
Do not alter (delete or add to) God's Word
:
"Ye shall not add unto the word
which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep
the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you." (Deuteronomy
4:2)
"What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it." (Deuteronomy 12:32)
"As we said before, so say I now
again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received,
let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please
men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ." (Galatians
1:9-10)
"For if he that cometh
preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another
spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not
accepted, ye might well bear with him. "
(2 Corinthians 11:4) We don't tolerate heresy from the pulpit, why do we
tolerate it in our Bibles?
"Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar." (Proverbs 30:5-6 )
"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." (Revelation 22:18-19)
