CREATE YOUR OWN CHRISTIAN WEBSITE
Have you ever thought about creating your own website? The Devil's gang has an overwhelming surplus of website's promoting every form of ungodliness, godless filth and immorality imaginable. Did you know that 12% of all website's are now porn? Internet porn has become an epidemic problem. "Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?" (Psalm 94:16)
It is my desire to see that more born-again Christians would get upset over the wickedness of our time and build website's to take a stand for righteousness, preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and defend the principles of the precious Word of God. I challenge you to consider helping fight the good fight of faith for the Lord Jesus Christ. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
GETTING STARTED
1. Choose and purchase a domain name (the name of your website) Mine is www.dmhodge.com
2. Purchase a web hosting plan (an agreement with a company which allows you to upload and store your website onto their hard drive, for others to access via your domain name). The web hosting company's computer is commonly called a "server."
3. Purchase a web-design software program. The program I use is Microsoft Front Page (2002) and Microsoft Expression Webb (A more recent version of Front Page) Microsoft no longer publishes Front Page but has replaced it with Microsoft Expression Web. There are still some new and used copies of Front Page available on the internet, but you have to search for them. There are other web-design programs, but I am not familiar with them.
4. Build your website
If you do not want to build your own site but would like to have one, contact me about building one for you. The cost can be a little or a lot depending on how large a site you want to build. There is free space for you to build a web site but you will have to put up with advertisements from the host. You may not like what they advertise on your site. Some hosting sites also offer software for you to build your web site.

You'd be surprise at how easy and inexpensive it is to design and publish your own site. On the other hand if you want unlimited space for a lot of web pages the cost can go substantially higher. My web site allows me unlimited space so I can build as many pages as I want.
A domain name will cost you about $10 - $15. per year, and some providers do not charge for your domain name if you build your web site with them.. There are offers for web hosting package for just $4.95 per month, which includes 10 GB of server space and 500 GB of monthly bandwidth. That's there smallest package, for only $60 per year. Not too bad at all. That may seem like a lot of space but once you start uploading graphics it will fill up fast.
A WORD ABOUT DOMAIN NAMES
Once you've purchased your domain, it cannot be changed. You would need to start another website, so choose carefully something that sounds good to you, that you think would be easy for other people to remember. I recommend that you choose a name that only uses alphanumeric characters.
Also, although the ".com" extension sounds more professional the ".org" extension is just as effective. The type of extension you use is a matter of preference. To my knowledge there is no other difference. I chose www.dmhodge.com because it is easy to remember and I prefer the "com" extension. It's just a matter of choice.
